The exhibition of contemporary Ukrainian art within the framework of the International Cultural Project “Interweaving” opened on April 20 at the Shanghai Art Museum “Art Exchange and Experience”.
The grand opening of the event took place on April 20 and began with congratulatory words from the organizers, the project leaders. More than a hundred guests from China, Hong Kong and Taiwan attended the event, including well-known gallery owners, art experts, representatives of the Ministry of Culture of China, the Chambers of Commerce of Shanghai and Zhejiang.
Among the organizers of the event: the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Ukraine, the Consulate General of Ukraine in Shanghai, the Ukrainian-Chinese Friendship Society, Servantia Lumina, the Shanghai Art Museum “Art Exchange and Experience”. The opening gala was also marked by master classes by three representatives of Ukrainian artists: Viktor Goryaev (painting), Lesya Panchyshyn (painting) and Daniil Rovenchin (sculpture), who revealed the secrets of creating sculptures and painting using their own techniques.
The international cultural project “Interweaving” has become a unique cultural event based on the theme of interaction and connection of the cultural fund of Ukraine and China with the peoples of the Silk Road, which connects their material, artistic and spiritual cultures, as well as new and classical trends. applied and visual arts. The project will promote cultural cooperation between the friendly peoples of Ukraine and China and will be a tool for deepening cultural exchange and dialogue within the New Silk Road initiative “One Belt, One Road”.
The exhibition presents 83 works by six Ukrainian contemporary artists and sculptors, recognized in Europe and the West, who work in three different areas of fine arts: sculpture, painting, arts and crafts. All of them are carefully selected for the uniqueness of technology, non-standard combination of materials, a new look, the subtleties of the transfer of ideas and feelings, status and recognition in the art market.
The exhibition “Interweaving” will last until May 20 in free access for visitors at the Shanghai Art Museum “Art Exchange and Experience” from 10:00 to 18:00.
